This BBQ sauce will be a staple in our household for years to come! I only used 2 chipotles because I'm kind of a spice whimp but next time I'll use 3. The ribs started with sweet and ended with a little kick. Highly recommend!!

Really good flavor but Way Way too hot for us, and my husband likes spicy food. I added some honey, a second can of crushed tomatoes, baking soda and salt. The spce lovers in the family used it sparingly but I dumped most of it. I may try it again with one pepper. We cooked the ribs without sauce and served bottled sauce on the side.

Easy and delicious, but you have to like the bite the chipotle peppers give it. This will likely be my staple barbecue sauce from this point forward. Yum, Yum!

This was really an awful homemade Barbeque sauce; no offense to the few of you who reviewed it and said how good it was. I followed this recipe to the letter and it was just so hot with no sweetness at all. I spent an hour trying to cool it down and bring out the sweet and tangy flavors but it was useless. After adding more of every other ingredient to the point of making a gallon of sauce, I went back to the store and bought Sweet Baby Rayâs to add to the ribs recipe. Beware to all, use a touch of the Chipotle, if you like your taste buds and are looking for a hot and tangy sauce.

Just...so...good! I'm not a fan of many barbecue sauces, but this one was excellent, with nicely balanced flavors. I made a double batch and have enough for a couple of more racks or ribs! Yum!

Very good. Just the right amount of heat. My whole family loved it. This will be my new Barbecue sauce recipe.

This recipe as a whole was incredible! I will definately do it again. I didnt have the chipotle peppers so I just added some chili powder for some spice. This recipe makes a ton of sauce so make sure you have plenty to use it with. I would absolutely make it for special occassions. It would be perfect for 4th of july or another holiday like that.

I have made this several times. I use my favorite sauces and it FALLS off the bone. The best part is I have three hours to work on other projects while it cooks instead of babysitting the grill.

I am guessing the bad reviews of this recipe are from the misreading of the ingredients. It calls for 3 canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce...NOT 3 CANS OF CHIPOTLE PEPPERS...Just 3 peppers. So I give this 5 stars!! Great combination of sweet and spicy! I use these peppers on a regular basis and 2 is the norm for a touch of heat, 3 would be considered Medium heat.
