We loved this! Used coleslaw mix from the grocery, and added extra cilantro. Realy outstanding - this is my NEW go-to coleslaw recipe for this summer. Served with BBQ ribs and molasses baked beams (from CL).

This is great cole slaw! Love the flavor and the spice. I wasn't sure about the molasses but it really adds a nice flavor. If you don't have any, you can just substitute the white sugar for brown sugar. This is one of those recipes that I can't wait to make again!

Great simple and impressive salad! Be sure you use ONE CANNED CHIPOTLE CHILI. My husband thought the recipe called for one can of chilis it would have been inedible. We only used half of the dressing we made just to be sure everyone could eat it, and it was still perfect. I'm saving the extra dressing for the next batch!

Made this for a Cinco de Mayo party. Goes great with Mexican food. The chipotle gives it a nice kick.

I served this with pulled pork sandwiches. We really enjoyed it but would not use a whole can of chipotle. I used 6 chili's and de-seeded them and still thought it was too spicy. But besides that, this was EXCELLENT. The dressing blended beautifully with the veggies. Light and crisp. I would make this again for family and friends - perfect for a potluck!

This is fantastic! A bit spicy but wonderfully spicy! You can cut down on the spiciness using less Adobo sauce. Used it for a neighborhood Pig Roast to use on top of the sandwiches and it was well eaten by the end of the event, everyone loved it! I will definitely make it again! Makes alot!

Excellent side item for many different entrees. After a day in the fridge, it was even better. A word of warning - it can be a little spicy for those who are sensitive to spicy foods. The peppers I used seemed unusually hot. That being said, it is still a great dish.

A friend made this recipe for a BBQ. It was one of those "I have to have this!" recipes as soon as I tasted it. The coleslaw has such a unique taste and is now one of my favorite go-to side dishes.

Tangy, way more interesting than the average coleslaw. Keeps well for several days without getting soggy. Made two versions, one followed the recipe exactly, the other used four times as much chipotle chile for the hot food enthusiasts. Both were devoured with gusto.

First of all, this coleslaw only resembled the picture BEFORE the dressing was added. After that, it did NOT look appetizing in the least. THe addition of molasses to the dressing gave it an unusual beige color. The heat in this is excessive, and perhaps would be tolerable on a pulled pork sandwich as suggested, but not strictly as a cole slaw. The overwhelming cilantro flavor just made this an inedible throwaway! My first failure from myrecipes.com. Other than this, I've been quite pleased with the recipes found here.

This was super yummy. Great kick. Added on top of BBQ chicken sandwiches. So good. Wouldn't change a thing.

This is a fantastic coleslaw recipe. I substituted chipotle powder for the chipotle & adobo sauce because I was out. It had kick without being overwhelmingly spicy. The cilantro and green onions really make this coleslaw special. If you don't like cilantro or green onions, you won't like this coleslaw.

Really excellent and just the right amount of heat - do not do what the last reviewer did and use a small can of chipotles - the recipe calls for one small canned chipoltle, i.e. NOT the whole can. That would be enough to blow your head off! Make it per the directions and you'll love it.

This is an excellent coleslaw recipe that adds some new dimensions in flavor to the classic side dish. Really good. However... You can make this healthier by using low-fate mayo, fat-free sour cream, and cutting the whole "sauce" by about a third. As it is in the recipe, the slaw is a bit too creamy. It would probably be better (and healthier) with a little less.

This was a nice change of pace coleslaw. I used both reduced fat mayo and sour cream and it tasted great.

This one is spicy! We fed 15 folks with this recipe, accompanied by pulled pork, potato salad, crusty bread & watermelon. I used all the adobo sauce from a 6 oz. can, and every person at the bbq asked for the recipe! Warning, not for the weak of palate, or for children! Love it!

I found this slaw recipe to be horrible. The lime and Greek yogurt reacted strangely giving the slaw a weird mouth texture. The dressing was bland even with double the amount of chipotle peppers added. BLECH!

This was really good! I followed the recipe almost exactly - however, I left the cilantro and green onions off of my husband's portion since he is not a fan. I thought both versions were great. So, if you do not like cilantro, leave it out and you will still love it. If you like cilantro, definitely add it in, it gives it a whole new level of flavor. I thought the spice from the chipotle was just about right, but if you wanted it extra spicy, just add more to taste. We will definitely be having this again. theycallmered obviously reviewed another recipe.

Loved it . . . followed the recipe and it was perfect, a keeper! Can't believe someone actually made changes to the recipe and then had the nerve to give one star because the flavors didn't blend . . . duh!
