We thought these were great! Only modification was using freshly minced garlic (I don't do that bottled stuff). Served with a small side of sweet potatoes oven fries with chipotle-lime aioli for dipping.
DH and I thought these were really good. Too much spice for DD. We dribbled a little A-1 sauce on the top of lightly grilled whole wheat buns. I served it with Confetti Pasta Salad, also from Cooking Light. It was like a cookout meal on a weeknight. :-) I will definitely make it again.
i modified it obviously and made turkey sliders instead of full burgers... but i also did not add in the breadcrumbs or the bbq sauce... i put in 3 peppers for a little more kick, and stuffed little slices smoked gouda cheese inside before grilling the burgers.
for the slaw... i didn't have vinegar, so i used a 3-4 drops of lemon juice and lime juice, and added water to get it to the right consistency...
i mean you can season it however you like... but these are to die for... even if you don't eat slaw... it just adds the extra touch to the burger. my brother will tell you... he doesn't even eat slaw, but he did on sunday!
