We made this recipe as directed except with the addition of some red peppers. It was tasty, but I don't think it will make it to the rotation because we have a couple other stir fry type recipes from cooking light that we like more.

didn't really care for the tomatoes if i did make this recipe i would use broccoli instead

My husband and I both loved it. I also added snow peas and shiitake mushrooms since we are trying to eat more vegetables.

We really enjoyed this recipe, though I did change things up a bit. My market didn't have flank steak, so I opted instead for skirt steak, which was a bit on the pricey side... but really worth it and oh-so-tender. I wonder if the flank would have come out so tender. I marinated the meat in the hoisin/5 spice/soy mixture for a few hours, which could have helped with the tenderness (I recommend doing this if you can!). I added extra veggies, as some people suggested: broccoli, red bell pepper and snap peas. Followed the recipe otherwise. All in all, delicious! My boyfriend raved, and I'm likely to make again (probably with the wonderful skirt steak!).

Made this for dinner 2 nights ago & everyone is fighting over the leftovers! I decided to marinate the meat in the Hoisin Sauce mixture & it was delicious! Didn't use low-sodium soy sauce and no one in my family found it to be too salty. Added veggies because I thought it needed them--mushrooms & pea pods. Yummy dinner!

I really enjoyed this meal and so did my husband. I also thought the tomatoes were too much and substituted red pepper for the 2nd one. Any veggie could be used here instead of tomatoes. Very tasty.

I made this last night and my husband and both thought it was good. I followed the recipe as is except I had to leave out the basil (didn't have any). That being said we both thought it was lacking something. It was good, but not great. Will probably not be making this again simply because I have many other recipes I like much more.
