Chili-Roasted Cod

This was very easy and fast and was delicious... even my husband, who doesn't like fish, liked it. I think the calorie count could be correct, because 2 T butter is 200 calories, and that would be 50 cal/serving. The only other thing w/significant calories is the fish which is probably fairly low in calorie count. I served it w/couscous w/roasted veggies and Apple Orange Coleslaw... I would make this again.

My husband, a non-fish-eater, LOVES this recipe. I used chipotle chile powder instead of chili powder (because it's all I had) so I used less, because it's much hotter than chili powder. Make sure your cod is as fresh as possible -- there should be no fishy smell. We have this every week or two! I've made it with halibut too, and that's good, but cod is best. I would never use tilapia, as tilapia has no flavor at all, IMHO. The only reason I did not rate this five stars -- I think the nutritional information is really off. How can this have 151 calories for a 5 to 6 oz. serving of fish PLUS 1/2 tablespoon of butter per person? It says zero calories from fat -- but four people are splitting 2 tablespoons of butter! Maybe the nutritional information does not include the browned butter topping, but I think that's what makes the dish!

My whole family loved this dish just the way it is. We thought it was very flavorful, especially with the lime cumin butter sauce. Wouldn't change a thing!

Very tasty, quick and easy. I served the cod over brown rice (my only regret was not preparing more of the butter and lime sauce - it would've been great poured over the rice). I plan to use the leftovers in fish tacos. Nice flavor. I followed the recipe as written and think this could be used to entertain guests or just to whip up a quick dinner. I plan to prepare again!

Was not impressed. Not horrible, but won't make again.

Wow! This was great, we especially liked the sauce. After reading reviews I made triple the sauce, and we used it! I also made double the chili mix for the fish because we were afraid the fish wouldn't have enough flavor. I have a little left over but double the mix gave extra flavor that we liked a lot. This fish would also go great in fish tacos.

Loved it. My son said, "Mom, this is delicious, is there more?" WOW!!

Did not like this at all- not much flavor. And why doesn't the recipe just call for 1.5 pounds of cod instead of 3 pounds, since it says to "save half the cod for another use"?

What a simple way to transform inexpensive cod into a delicious and healthy meal.
