Ingredients
- 2 can(s) (15-3/4 oz) chili beans
- cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoon(s) chili powder
- 2 teaspoon(s) dried onion
- fritos
- 2 pound(s) ground beef
- onions (optional)
- pepper, to taste
- salt, to taste
- sour cream
- 1/2 cup(s) sugar
- 28 ounce(s) tomato puree
Preparation
- Make chili:
- Brown ground beef and onion, season with salt and pepper. Drain ground beef. Add sugar, tomato puree, chili powder, and chili beans. Bring to a boil. Turn down to low and simmer one hour.
- Assemble chili pie in a bowl:
- 1. fritos
- 2. sour cream
- 3. chili
- 4. cheddar cheese
- 5. onions
