    Worthy of a Special Occasion

    I used a 1/3lb of black eye peas, 1/3lb of kidney beans and 1/3lb of pinto beans. As for the rest I pretty much followed the recipe. The taste was pretty good except for the lack of tomato taste. My broth didn't turn into a tomato broth at all. It looked like a bean soup rather than chili. I will add some tomato paste (canned unfortunately) next time.
