Quick, easy and oh so yummy! I have heard of this sort of dish with Fritos and thought it was a bit silly, but what a combo! I am making it again for the second week in a row. Great recipe for a Football Sunday kinda day. It's not gourmet per say, but wonderful comfort food.

Just made this for dinner tonight. My daughter cleaned her plate which she usually doesn't do! I did make a substitution of fire roasted, diced tomatoes instead of tomatoes with chiles and left out the ground red pepper.

I was so disappointed in this recipe. I thought the best thing about it was the Fritos. The chili was rather flavorless, definitely nothing special, it didn't get particularly thick, and as a whole the recipe was just ok. It didn't seem pie-like at all, just average chili atop of corn chips. If I were to make this again I would use one of CL's fabulous chili recipes such as All- American Chili, or Mexican Bean Chili. I probably won't make this again though.

Super easy and good! Used a larger can of tomatoes/green chilies, so added a bit more tomato paste to make it thicker. Also used 1.25 lbs. of ground turkey breast instead of the pound of sirloin, and used reduced fat sour cream (because that's what I had) and reduced fat Mexican blend cheese. Loved the spicy taste of the cayenne. Would be good with beans in it. Definitely a comfort food recipe!

I'd never heard of Frito pie... but this looked delicious and so I decided to give it a try. It's pretty easy to make as long as you have everything prepared in little dishes before you go. My fiance totally gobbled it up! It has a bit of a kick to it, but not enough for a spice-phobe person like me to turn away. If you like your food extra spicey, I would recommend doubling all the spices in the dish. Either way, this is a good recipe!

Quick, easy, ingredients usually on hand - it's got Frito's (can I say that?) - kids love it! I substituted 1 15.4oz can of tomatoes and 1 4oz can diced green chilies to 1.5lb of ground beef to which I added a tablespoon of flour as a thickener. I told my daughter the recipe calls for only 1oz of chips per serving to which she replied "good, I take the rest".

I made a double batch for my 4 teenagers and husband. They all loved it! I did add black beans to the recipe. Easy and everybody loved it!

My family loved this. I doubled up on the spice because we like things spicy. I also added a can of red kidney beans. My husband generally makes the chili in our family and he said he liked this recipe better than the one he uses. I'll definately make this again.

This recipe was easy to prepare for a weeknight meal. Served it with a salad. Loved this and my son who talked himself into not eating it ate it and asked for more. I would make this again.

My husband and I loved this - my only complaint is that the serving size goes quickly. It was too spicy for my 3 year old, so may do a separate version for him next time. We also used 2% sharp cheddar cheese, whitch tasted great. Super easy and fast as well.

My family LOVES this recipe and just made it for guests who gave it rave reviews. One guest follows a gluten-free diet and she loved it (made sure to use gluten free broth and tomato paste). I set it up as a buffet with toppings each person could add: Fritos/tortilla chips, lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, corn-red pepper salsa, black beans, sour cream and cheese. I follow the recipe as listed but I find it too liquidy with the water - I leave it out.

I LOVE this recipe and we have it every other week. My family aren't big red meat eaters so I switched it out for ground turkey and let it simmer for a bit longer so the turkey absorbs the flavor. It's even better the next day.

This is delicious and filling. I look forward to having this each time its on my meal plan, it comes together so quickly and it is very tastey. We usually eat it the next day for lunch too and after the flavors sit overnight its even better according to my hubby who loves this meal too!

This was delicious. Like another reviewer, I thought it would be watery, but if you let it simmer with the top off it will slightly thicken, as the direction state. I added a can of rinsed black beans and a couple of dashes of low sodium season salt, other than that, followed recipe as written. Served with a green salad.

This recipe is awesome! I made it for a Super Bowl party, and when I went to get my serving, I found the pan empty. My husband said that this is now his favorite chili recipe. I am going to make it again this week when we have chili dogs. Really meaty recipe!

I love this recipe! This is the third time I make it & I have to say that everyone that have tried it in my house loves it & raves about it;)) my family and guests can't have enough of it! Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe! The only thing that I changed/substituted was the fritos for organic greenwise corn tortillas from Publix! Delish <3

Yummy but not mind-blowing or anything. I think I'd prefer it with my own (much stronger) taco seasoning. We added shredded lettuce and pickled jalapenos to the other toppings.
