Delicious and easy. I made it in the morning and refrigerated it until dinner. Now, where can I get that beautiful casserole dish in the picture?!

I thought this was good but not exceptional in any way. I had a cheddar/jack combo cheese in the house that I used and maybe that made it too bland, but it really needed a little kick of some sort. Next time I'll make sure I use a sharp cheddar cheese and maybe throw in a dash or two of tabasco sauce. Just something to bolster the flavor a little. The water chestnuts didn't do anything for me either, but that's just a personal preference. I think I would prefer mushrooms over water chestnuts.

The only problem with this dish is that there won't be leftovers. It is so good that it was gone in two days. Love the balance of crunch and creaminess. Read my full review here: http://bit.ly/vWRObY

I made this according to the recipe. I thought it needed additional vegetables, so the next time I added a 16oz. pkg of frozen broccoli (put in frozen) and it was very good. I think it would also be good with a one pound bag of frozen peas. You have to accommodate the additional ingredients by using a larger baking dish.

My mother made this and EVERYONE loved it! Ibbarone: FYI- I have a casserole dish almost identical if you'd like, it's silver plate.

This is our favorite chicken casserole. It makes a lot, so there is extra in the freezer for a busy night. Loved the crunch of the water chestnuts.

Definitely keeping this in our rotation. I halved the recipe and omitted the water chestnuts and almonds. Loved it!

This was sooooooo good! I had to change some things as I didn't have milk, so I substituted low-fat half and half and didn't have enough onion, but did have french fried onions that I crushed and blended with the bread crumbs. We will definitely be having this one again!

Trying to make this match Costco's frozen chicken and wild rice so I added some Worcester sauce for a little extra tang. Loved having the extra to freeze!

Substituted buttered ritz crackers for bread crumbs & would omit almonds.

Over the years, I've tried many chicken and rice casseroles hoping to find a favorite. This one isn't it. There were so many ingredients it was like it was trying too hard and, in the end, it just didn't make it. With a little more salt, the flavor was pretty good but it was dry and unappealing. Perhaps, a recipe that uses a white sauce with cheese added would be better.

I made this tonight, with a few alterations. I added some frozen broccoli. I think next time I will leave out the added salt and the bread crumbs. It was too salty for my taste, but my 18 y/o nephew LOVED it. I'd say he'd have eaten the entire casserole dish, if I'd allowed it. I will make this again.

Followed recipe to the letter and was surprised at how bland it was, not bad but definitely blah..I'm going to save some and add curry to it overnight and see if that works..

This recipe is mind blowingly good. I made it for Christmas dinner and everyone loved it. Makes a huge amount and the left overs are just as good. It is a yummy stick-to-your-ribs warms-you-up-on-a-cold-day casserole.

Cut the recipe in half. Had no taste. Will not make it again.
