    My husband and I made this recipe for a weeknight dinner. We made it as written and thought it was delicious. I think the next time we make it we will add some cumin to boost the flavor a bit. I agree that it is a bit "beige" but I think some colorful sides could easily make this a casual entertaining dish. It was a hit at our house and it will definitely make it into the rotation.

    Delicious! Yes, it may have looked bland, but it was absolutely delicious! Gone the same night because of how great it was - an easy meal to make that tasted good. Will definitely make again!

    This was OK- a bit bland as some suggested but a decent weeknight meal when you are bored of doing other things with chicken. We served it with a bit of radish on top for additional color and crunch.

    Unexpectedly good! I added some lemon juice to everything before cooking and made a bit of rice which I quick fried to add some more weight to the tacos. Really satisfying!

    My 6 y.o. and 4 y.o. were quiet throughout dinner with only the occasional mmmmm. Simple but delicious!

    I have made this since it came out in CL in 2003. One of my go to recipes for sure, the kids even love this. Tonight I sauteed the chicken in coconut oil, as I was out of olive. Should have done a 1/2 Tbs, but it turned out more flavorful than it does with olive oil. Also, I add a little fresh grated nutmeg to the apples and onions before adding the chicken. The only other change is that we put a tsp of light sour cream on top. Again, not huge changes, but again we love the flavor. For me the more nutmeg the better.

    Very easy to make. I used a Gala apple because that's what's growing on my trees. Very delicious. Because some people commented on the bland color, I add a little orange pepper and a deseeded jalapeno pepper. They made it more colorful but they were unnecessary.
