I loved this recipe. I'm a vegetarian, so I omitted the chicken. It was delicious!

This was absolutely divine! I had leftover ckn from a small roaster the night before and excess corn that needed to be used up. Definitely a keeper! Yum!! The topping really makes it, so be sure not to skip it!

This is a hearty fresh chowder: very nice touch with the tomatoes and avocado. I plan on serving this for company or just for my husband and myself. I used whole milk as I wanted lower fat and it was fine. I served a fresh spinach salad and crispy warm bread with it. It's a nice dish for leftover roasted chicken.

Very good and fresh! We just used regula milk to make it a little lighter.

Outstanding recipe. I cooked chicken breasts in the crock pot all day, and shredded it to go in the recipe. A little work to chop all the fresh ingredients, but well worth it. I omitted the onions, and it tasted very good without them. I will make this many times over.

This is a wonderful soup. It is really easy and very fresh. Great summer dinner. My family loves it. I use about 4 slices of bacon, but otherwise I follow the recipe as written.

I absolutely loved this recipe! I cooked up the chicken and shredded it ahead of time. I was able to prep everything so when dinner time came it only took a few minutes to put this soup together. The toppings are a must!! They definitely make the soup. Very hearty...great for the winter but has such a fresh flavor it doesn't weigh you down.

Sorry to rain on the good reviews, but I found this to be very bland

Yummmmmmm! I'll make this again and again! Especially love the lime, avocado, tomato and cilantro splash.

To the person who thought it bland, try some salt. Most recipes are a springboard. When I make this ill add some cumin as well. Don't be afraid to add your own spices

This is an excellent use of summer leftovers of grilled chicken and corn on the cob. I added a diced jalapeno when I added the onion, and I added 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil, because the bacon did not provide enough grease to saute the onion and pepper. In the interest of making this really low fat, I skipped the flour, cream and toppings and increased the broth by 1/3 cup. Right after I added the corn, I also squirted in some of that cilantro paste that comes in a tube. This soup was more like a stew, and the servings are huge. This dish does need some salt.
