Cheesy Ranch Popcorn

Most people don't realize that popcorn is a whole grain, which means it's full of fiber. Two quick additions to a low-fat bag of popped corn are all you need to add an extra burst of flavor.

Ingredients

1 (2.9-ounce) bag butter-flavored 94% fat-free microwave popcorn
Cooking spray
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons dry ranch dressing mix

Preparation

1. Pop popcorn according to package directions. Place popcorn in a large bowl. Lightly coat popcorn with cooking spray, and toss well; repeat.

2. Combine cheese and dressing mix; sprinkle over popcorn, tossing well. Serve immediately.

 

Young Chefs can:

Pour cooled popcorn into large bowl

Sprinkle cheese mixture over popcorn

 

Older Chefs can:

Coat popcorn with cooking spray

Measure cheese, and combine cheese-dressing mixture
