Cook 1 (22-ounce) package frozen mashed potatoes according to package directions. Stir in 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Mexican four-cheese blend, 3 tablespoons butter, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper until smooth. Serve immediately.
