Great weeknight meal. The kids loved it (and so did I). I added a few red pepper flakes to kick it up a notch. Also, used canned chicken because I was in a hurry. Would have been better with fresh chicken but still good solid substitute when pressed for time.

This recipe is great and the whole family enjoyed it. I substituted 3 cans of Italian Style Tomatoes (14 1/2 oz. each) for the tomatoes called for in the recipe and I used a rotisserie chicken to save time. The flavor was amazing and everyone wanted seconds! It's a crowd pleaser that you'll make again.

This is an excellent family recipe. Hubby and kids enjoyed it. I like the other reviewer's idea of adding broccoli; we served it w/ salad. I've made it twice already. Since the recipe calls for simmering the tomato/onion mixture anyway, I substituted diced tomatoes for stewed tomatoes both times. And the 2nd time, I used one can of diced tomatoes WITH mild green chilies for one of the cans of stewed tomatoes and I added about 1/4 tsp black pepper...I think these additions took the flavor up a notch. I find the 9 oz of pasta frustrating because a box of pasta is 13.25 oz. Having just that little bit of pasta leftover, whether cooked or in the box, is a bit of a nuisance. I think next time I make it, I may add one more can of tomatoes and a little more of the spices, cheese, & chicken to accommodate a full box of pasta. Otherwise...this one is definitely a keeper!!

I used leftover turkey I had frozen from Thanksgiving, and a variety of spices to make up the Italian bland. Used a bit less pasta as I prefer more sauce. It was perfect for a cold night. I might use parmesan cheese nest time, but the cheddar was good too.

So tasty and so easy! I didn't modify the recipe at all this time around but I'm wondering what some extra veggies would add.

This was excellent. I, too, missed quessing the 9 ounces of spagetti and ended up with a lot more which made it just a little bit dry but still very good. Next time will either use a full box and double the ingredients or try to get closer to 9 ounces. Didn't change anything in the recipe. Great leftovers. A definite repeat.

Simple and very tasty. Followed the recipe only adding broccoli for a true one dish meal. Will make again.

This dish is simple, delicious, and satisfying. I have made it four times in the past four weeks--it has become a staple. Several times I included broccoli. Once I left out the chicken for my vegetarian daughter. It was equally tasty any way I made it.

This was a great dish. I used a whole chicken that I had cooked previously. I think it would also be good with boneless chicken breasts.

Followed recipe exactly. Overall I found it lacking in flavor. It was easy to make, but I think the sauce should be a litter thicker. I will doctor the recipe, if I make it again.

This is a great casserole recipe! It's "light" but full of flavor. My DH loved it, and he is not fond of casseroles. Freezes well, too.

Had last night for dinner; tasty but totally unremarkable. Easy to prepare and make ahead. I made the recipe exactly as instructed--maybe could have used more cheese.

One of the few things my daughter will eat!

I love simplicity, and this is simplicity at its best. Casseroles are staple at my house and I love this one at its best. Two Thumbs Up. My complements to the Chef.

It was an interesting idea, but it didn't really taste like anything. My husband and I found it to be very bland. More spices and veggies would add something to this dish.

This is a good weeknight meal, I'll probably make it again, but I wouldn't serve it to guests. I added broccoli and it worked out well.

I'm a big casserole fan and this was a wonderful recipe. Perfect combination of flavors. My husband and I both loved it!

Easy to make but nothing special at all. Only one of my 3 children liked it.

This has potential but is lacking greatly. I added a lot more garlic and italian seasoning. I also added some parmesean cheese, red wine and heavy cream to make a thicker sauce. Great recipe to experiment with.

cmaranski--try adding some sauteed squash (zucchini or yellow or both). Sauteed mushrooms would probably work well too. In fact, you could substitute portabellos for the meat, for a very satisfying dish.
