It was one of the best pasta salads I've ever had. The dressing makes the salad so tasty. I also added the crumbled center cut bacon and brought it to a potluck. Everyone was asking who made the bacon salad. I doubled the recipe and there was nothing left. It's a keeper. I'm going to try the dressing with other pastas and add chicken or shrimp and experiment.
I chose this for a picnic on a 90 degree day. I needed something that could sit out without me worrying about it. This was a HUGE hit! People loved it and I thought the flavors were delicious. You could add a little bacon and diced cheddar if you wanted to, but not necessary.
This is a wonderful pasta salad, but I felt it was missing something. I add a package of Center Cut Bacon, fried and crumbled, to the salad, to give it a "BLT" taste. I have made it many times, and always get asked for the recipe.
