While the pancakes cook, sliced pears simmer in butter and brown sugar creating enough pan juices to drench the cheese pancakes. There's no need for additional pancake syrup.

1. Whisk together first 5 ingredients. For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup batter onto a hot, lightly greased griddle or nonstick skillet. Cook pancakes 2 minutes or until tops are covered with bubbles and edges look cooked; turn and cook other sides until done.
2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add pears and brown sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, 8 minutes or until pears are tender. Serve pears and pan juices over pancakes, and sprinkle with bacon.
