Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup uncooked quick-cooking grits
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
Preparation
- Bring 2 cups milk and 2 cups water to a boil in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Gradually whisk in 1 cup uncooked quick-cooking grits and 1 teaspoon seasoned salt. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until thickened. Add 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper, whisking until cheese melts.
