How to Make It

Melt butter and brown sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring often. Add chopped apple; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes or until apple is soft. Stir together cornstarch and water. Stir cornstarch mixture into apple filling; cook 1 minute or until mixture thickens. Remove from heat. Cool completely. Stir in cheese.
