Ingredients

  • 2pkg unflavored geletin
  • 1/2C cold water
  • 2c milk
  • 6 eggs separated
  • 1c sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 doz lady fingers I prefer soft
  • 2c whipped cream

Preparation

  1. Let gel soften in cold water
  2. Scald milk in double boiler
  3. Beat egg yokes until blended, stir into milk, add sugar
  4. Cool until mixture thickens
  5. Remove from heat add vanilla

  6. cool thoroughly

  7. mean while line pan with fingers
  8. when the custard cools beat the egg whites still , fold into custard then fold in cream
  9. turn into pan and chill
