- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons milk
How to Make It
Cream butter in a medium mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a small mixing bowl; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir well after each addition.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° for 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets, and cool on wire racks.
