Made this for Valentine's Day, delicious and easy. Make sure not to overcook the greenbeans so they stay crisp when sauted with the pepper and onion.

Wow! These are really good - so glad I found the recipe. They would go perfect with an Asian type dinner, but I would have them anytime! A great alternative to standard green beans - I will be making these often. I did pour the brown sugar/soy sauce mixture onto the beans at the end on low temperature, just so everything would melt and coat the beans well.

I used frozen haricots (from Trader Joe's) that worked great. I have found the frozen alternatives are just as tasty and easier to come by. I do agree that this recipe makes green beans exciting and memorable.

I was disappointed. The sauce wasn't great, something was missing.
