2 tablespoons butter
3 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat. Add onions; cover and cook 30 minutes, stirring once. Uncover, increase heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring constantly, 20 minutes or until onions are caramel colored.
