Caramelized Onion-and-Goat Cheese Bread

    Really yummy and savory; I served it on Christmas Eve and it really felt festive and special. I made sure to extra caramelize the onions and I think that added to the sweetness.

    I made this for my husband and his friend for an afternoon snack. I halved the recipe as goat cheese is expensive and there were only three people eating. I had two pieces and they devoured the rest. I guess, I'm not a big fan of goat cheese (probably should have picked a different recipe for myself) but the other two eating loved it!!

    I made this last night for a holiday party I attended and it was really yummy. The guests seemed to really enjoy it. However this definately tastes better served warm as it got cold sitting out it was not as good, still good but not as good.

    This was really yummy! Very rich. You can probably only eat one. I found that the cheese mixture goes a lot further than a small loaf of French bread. I used a large loaf & there was plenty of spread to cover each half.
