Caramelized Cherry Lavender Dessert
Time: 15 minutes.
Yield: Makes 2 cups
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dried culinary lavender
- 2 cups pitted cherries
- Fresh lemon juice
- Angel food cake
- Toasted sliced almonds
- Melt butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add brown sugar, lavender, cherries, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Simmer until cherries are warm. Spoon over sliced angel food cake with a few toasted sliced almonds.
