Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation

Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Remove from heat.

Stir in evaporated milk and vanilla.
