Caramel Press Cookies
Yield: about 5 dozen
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk, vanilla, and salt; beat well. Stir in flour. Chill at least 1 hour.
- Press dough from cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove cookies to wire racks to cool.
