Caramel Press Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups all-purpose flour

Preparation

Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk, vanilla, and salt; beat well. Stir in flour. Chill at least 1 hour.

Press dough from cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove cookies to wire racks to cool.
