    This is fantastic! I have made this at least four times. My husband, who is not a cake guy, loves this recipe and even requested it for his birthday. I could eat the frosting straight from the pan (and have)!

    Boo hoo! What happened to my frosting?!? It did not come out as great as I'd hoped. Wonder if the recipe really calls for 1 cup of sugar vs 1/2 cup... Also think it should be modified a bit. Perhaps blend all ingredients together first then put them in the pot and bring to a boil. After that perhaps remove and mix with a mixer. Anyone else not have it come out looking exactly like it does in the picture? Hum... Willing to try it again.

    This is outstanding! So very easy for the results it produces. Even if I don't make the cake, this is now my go to caramel icing!!

    I search the entire internet for a Caramel Cake and picked this one to test out. This is far from being a dry cake and the icing is truly outstanding as stated by other members. This is a keeper!

    This is a good cake, but the frosting is absolutely outstanding. And it's super easy to make! Cake is a little hard to cut, was easier the next day and just as tasty.

    Yum! My family loved this cake. The frosting took me more like 4 min boiling to look right. The cake was nice and moist. Would definitely make this again. The caramel also will make a good caramel apple recipe.

    I didn't make the cake, I used a funfetti box, my daughter's birthday request, but she wanted caramel frosting, so after searching for one I had all the ingredients for this was the one I tried... and I have to agree, this frosting IS absolutely outstanding! I doubled the recipe and used left over for ice cream topping... I'll never buy a jar again!
