Caramel Glaze

Yield 3/4 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to Make It

  1. Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil in a heavy saucepan over high heat, stirring often; boil, without stirring, 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Cool until slightly thickened.
