Caramel-Coconut-Pecan Brownies

    There's nothing light about these brownies..but OH MY! They are incredible! I took them to work and they were gobbled up in an hour; people were raving about them! Made an oops..put the full bag of chocolate chips in the batter instead of on top but hey you can never have too much chocolate. They came out great!

    Found these too rich and sweet as did my friends. Impossible to get a clean cut as they kept crumbling. Too much work and expense for the result.

    I have made these brownies 3x with inconsistent results. I have been unable to find the magic baking time, for it certainly isn't the time given here. The top is always way too browned, the middle of the brownies way too mushy. The taste is okay, but texture is everything for me.

    I am an experienced baker but got poor results with this recipe. Very gooey top, seems uncooked. Brownies did set up with refrigeration but don't know if they'll hold up on a cookie tray. Also I would omit chocolate chips in the brownie batter, it made them difficult to cut. Expensive recipe for so so results.
