1. Combine vinegar and oil, stirring well with a whisk.
2. Place 1 tomato slice on each of 4 plates. Top each with 1 cheese slice and 1 basil leaf. Repeat layers twice, ending with basil leaves. Drizzle evenly with vinaigrette.
