Made this last year, and was a true hit. Sweet but not too sweet. the yams were cooked and not mushy. it was great to make it and forget it in the slow cooker.

Made this for Thanksgiving this year and my husband and his brother loved it. Only 4 of us but very little was left of this. Very GOOD!!!

Superb! Made it for Thanksgiving in the slow cooker for the first time. I usually bake in the oven. I did kick up the flavor. Try adding a 1/2 tsp. of each. Cinnamon,nutmeg and ginger. After I thickened the 1/3cup of liquid I added 2tbsp. Of Brandy,1/2 tsp of vanilla. Stir well and serve immediately. I catered an office party. I booked 6 people based on the yams from the first bite ....right away!!
