Candied Walnuts

I found this recipe in "Make It Fast, Cook It Slow" by Stephanie O'Dea. I love it because it is so easy and is a great gift. I love using these nuts in salads.

Ingredients

  • 4 cup(s) walnut halves
  • 4 tablespoon(s) salted butter
  • 1/2 cup(s) brown sugar firmly packed

Preparation

  1. Put butter in 4 quart slow cooker on low and let it melt. Add brown sugar and stir. Add walnuts and stir again. Put lid on and cook for 1 hour. Lay the nuts on parchment paper to cool and dry.
