Loved it! I made it for a pre-trick or treat pizza gathering we had at our house and it was a big hit. I used regular balsamic vinegar because I would not find white.

Delightful flavors. Quick and easy once the walnuts were candied. Used baby leaf lettuces. Will definitely serve again.

Lovely salad. The only change I made was picking up a "bag o' salad" of already prepped Boston & radicchio. I didn't miss the romaine at all. Loved the dressing as is. I like the idea of fruit in a winter salad.

I LOVE this salad! It's delicious and versitile. I've added blue cheese, used apples instead of pears, almonds instead of walnuts....it's always delicious. I do recommend a variety of greens as the crunch of the romaine pairs well with more tender baby greens. Make it today!

This was a very nice salad. I concur with the prior reviewer and would use baby lettuces next time. I would encourage using the crushed capers in the salad dressing - it gave it a delightful salty flavor

Perfect in flavor, texture and presentation. Made this for Thanksgiving this year and I couldn't have been more delighted. Crisp, crunchy and delicious. I followed the recipe as written, except I added one more chilled pear. Only problem, we couldn't eat it all and it was too wilted to eat on Friday. Definitely will keep it on my holiday and special occasion recipe list.

DELICIOUS! I also just used a pre-mixed bag of lettuce and instead of making the dressing used Wegman's white balsamic vinaigrette. I'm not a huge nut person but the candied walnuts are divine.

So very easy and good! I left out the capers because no one in my family likes them, and this still came out amazingly tasty! The walnuts really made the salad - They are so tasty I may make more to put on everything else!

Very good, but I will leave out most of the radicchio next time. It was too bitter.

Made this for a Chrismas Eve get together and it was a big hit. I used a combination of baby greens and arugula and added some feta cheese. Also, the candied walnuts can stand on their own - they are delicious.

Great salad. I made a couple of changes... 1. used store bought mixed greens 2. did not candy the walnuts 3. used apple instead of pear 4. added blue cheese

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I changed the recipe a bit - Used all baby spinach (think raddichio is way too bitter) and added crumbled gorgonzola. Excellent! Will definitely make again soon!

The amount of sugar (caramel) was too much for the walnut. The problem was most likely that I poured out the walnut on the baking sheet with all the caramelized sugar. Perhaps, I should have used a slotted spoon
