- 6 medium-size sweet potatoes, cleaned and peeled
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
How to Make It
Slice sweet potatoes lengthwise into 1/4-inch-thick slices.
Arrange sweet potatoes in a lightly greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with sugar and cinnamon. Pour melted butter over top.
Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Baste potatoes with syrup formed in bottom of baking dish. Cover and continue baking 25 minutes. Remove cover, and bake 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
