Yield: Makes about 2 1/2 cups
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Spread pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. (Don't overbake; pecans burn easily.)
- Melt butter and honey in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add pecans, stirring until coated. Cool completely.
- Combine sugar, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Remove pecans using a slotted spoon, and place in sugar mixture, tossing to coat.
