Candied Pecans



Makes about 2 1/2 cups

2 cups pecan halves
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper


Spread pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. (Don't overbake; pecans burn easily.)

Melt butter and honey in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add pecans, stirring until coated. Cool completely.

Combine sugar, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Remove pecans using a slotted spoon, and place in sugar mixture, tossing to coat.
