  • 1/4 cup (2 oz.) rye whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 3 whole candied kumquats (available on

How to Make It

  1. Stir together whiskey, water, vermouth, and bitters in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass filled with ice, and garnish with a skewer of candied kumquats. (For a sweeter drink, stir in 1 teaspoon kumquat syrup.)
