Made this recipe per the directions once and several times sans the meatballs. While the meatballs were labor intensive (dark turkey hard to find), the sauce was refreshing and reminiscent of a Italian fusion bistro. Thin but very aromatic and fantastic with wine. Very worthy of a summer evening or light dinner with friends.

The meatballs are good, very light feeling. I felt the sauce was a little too watery for me - Still haven't decided if the recipe was worth the effort. I am freezing half of the sauce for a rainy day, as it makes a TON!

Liked it a lot. I would agree with the other review that the sauce was a little thin but I added a can of tomato paste and it thickened right up. The meatballs are delicious and the fennel adds the tasty touch. I would definitely make it again.

I made the sauce with non-roasted tomatoes and added a tbs of sugar. It was delicious. The meatballs tasted like white wine and fell apart in the pan. Next time, I'll use my own meatball recipe and continue with the directions.
