For a shortcut, replace the first 8 ingredients with about 2 tablespoons of Cajun or Creole seasoning blend.
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 pounds peeled and deveined large shrimp
How to Make It
Combine first 8 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag. Add shrimp. Seal bag; shake to coat. Let stand 5 minutes.
Remove shrimp from bag; discard seasoning mixture. Thread shrimp onto 4 (12-inch) skewers. Place skewers on grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill over medium-hot coals (350° to 400°) 3 minutes on each side or until done.
