  • 1 1/2 quarts finely shredded cabbage (12 oz.; see notes)
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper


  1. In a large bowl, mix cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, vegetable oil, and chili flakes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
