Butterscotch Sauce

Ingredients

3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons Scotch whisky

Preparation

1. In a medium saucepan, combine dark brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, salt, and cream. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until thickened slightly, about 5 minutes. Add Scotch whisky.
