These are an easy, delicious treat that definitely don't taste light. After reading other reviews, I took them out of the oven after 16 minutes, and the knife was clean when I tested the center, though they still seemed pretty soft. Definitely watch the time so they don't overbake.

Easy, quick, and delicious! I added toasted walnuts to the batter right before pouring into the pan and I liked the extra crunch they added. I baked them for 25 minutes and loved the crispy outside and slightly doughy inside. Hubby loved the bars, but kept insisting that 1 serving = 2 bars. Will make again and would be perfect to take to small get together with friends (minus walnuts).

I made these for the first time yesterday and they turned out great. They were a big hit at the party I took then to. I accidentally put peanut butter chips on top, so they ended up being peanut butter bars. Yummy mistake!

This was pretty good. I like the butterscotch bars better from the april 2009 issue. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, you have to be careful of overcooking these. They seemed underdone when I pulled them out, but when they cooled down and several days later, they were just right. Any longer in the oven and they would have been kind of dry.

These bars are FANTASTIC! I've made them for many years now and everytime I serve them, no one can believe that they came from a light cooking magazine.

I'm not a huge fan of butterscotch, but these were still very good. The best way to eat them: warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Actually, it's THE ONLY way to eat them! These would be great with walnuts in the batter and white chocolate chips on top instead of butterscotch. These are absolutely delicious. It's unbelievable that they come from a light recipe. My mother, who is not a fan of sweets, cannot stop raving. I will be sure to add these to my recipe collection and will definitely be making them again!
