Prep time 10 mins
Cook time 3 mins
Yield Makes about 13 (3-inch) pancakes
Laura Weaver of B. Weaver Apiaries adds sweetness, flavor, and moisture to these pancakes with honey.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons dark honey
  • Pecan-Honey Butter (optional)

How to Make It

  1. Stir together first 4 ingredients in a medium bowl. Add egg, buttermilk, and honey, stirring until well blended.

  2. Pour 1/4 cup batter onto a hot, lightly greased griddle or skillet. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until top is covered with bubbles and edges look cooked. Turn and cook 1 more minute. Repeat with remaining batter. Top pancakes with Pecan-Honey Butter, if desired.
