Buttermilk Herb Ranch Dressing

    My favorite part of this recipe is all the room to experiment and make it your own. I started with the basic recipe and added a touch of ground red pepper for bite and a dash of lemon juice for brightness. The result was similar to a creamy dill dressing offered at my fave local restaurant. I plan on changing it up with some feta cheese and different herbs next time. Have fun!

    I LOVE this dressing! Will never buy another bottled ranch of any sort. This recipe is very balanced in flavor and consistency. Just thick enough to cling to the salad ingredients and not so thick that you end up using too much trying to get coverage. YUM!

    Good flavor....but more like a dill dressing than a ranch dressing. Also, it was very salty. I had to double the recipe because at first taste it was inedible! I would recommend that you taste the dressing before adding any salt.

    My kids love it! I only used 3/4 of the dill and salt called for and really liked the taste. I especially knowing exactly what went into it versus the store bought variety.

    One word: YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm! This is light, fresh-tasting and delicious!!! Husband ate almost half the whole bowl of it last night and wants it again tonight. It is truly to die for. Used herbs from the garden and left out the salt--you won't miss it, believe me--and it was beyong good. Will be making this often. HIGHLY recommend!

    Excellent dressing for salads and dipping. Will keep some in the fridge for snacking.
