- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1. Bring sugar and next 4 ingredients to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring often.
- 2. Immediately remove mixture from heat, and cool 10 minutes. Stir in vanilla.
