Buttermilk Dressing Coleslaw
For a fresh and tasty side dish, buttermilk dressing coleslaw is the perfect choice! The buttermilk upgrades ordinary slaw, making it creamy, crunchy and delicious.
Yield: Makes 8 to 10 servings
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 (10-ounce) packages finely shredded (angel hair) cabbage
- 1 carrot, shredded
Preparation
- Whisk together first 8 ingredients in a large bowl until blended. Add cabbage and carrot to bowl, and toss to coat. Cover and chill at least 2 hours.
