- 8 small turnips, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
How to Make It
Place turnips in a medium saucepan, and cover with water; bring to a boil. Cover and cook 10 minutes or until turnips are crisp-tender. Drain well.
Sauté cooked turnips in butter until evenly browned on one side. Sprinkle with sugar, salt, and pepper before turning to brown other side of turnips.
