  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 (14 1/2-ounce) can beef broth
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup evaporated fat-free milk
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-calorie margarine


  1. Place a large nonstick skillet over mediumhigh heat until hot. Add flour, and cook 6 to 8 minutes or until golden, stirring constantly.
  2. Whisk in beef broth and pepper. Cook 8 to 10 minutes or until thickened, stirring often. Stir in milk; cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in margarine. Serve with Café-Style Meat Loaf.
