Yield 1 1/2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons reserved pan drippings
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

How to Make It

  1. Add flour to pan drippings in skillet; cook over medium heat, scraping sides of skillet with a wooden spoon to loosen browned crumbs. Gradually add water, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Stir in salt and pepper.
